“Where ever you are is the entry point.”
~ Kabir
I am beginning to see the changing of the season all around me. I smell the whiff of autumn arriving in the air. It is a good season for deep listening to what God (the Universe, Higher Power, Divine Presence, etc.) might be saying to us. Are we living the life that has been given to us? What could be that life that is waiting for you to live?
You know that feeling when you find an old jacket and discover money in your pocket? Imagine that, but instead of cash, it’s filled with golden opportunities, beautiful experiences, and pure, simple joy—just waiting for you?
It’s not just a feeling. It’s a reality waiting to be realized. Wherever and however we are, may we go easy on ourselves, touch life and each other gently, and carry gratitude in our hearts for this one precious life we are given. Let’s be who we came here to be, and create what we came to create.
Everything is Waiting for You
by David Whyte (condensed version)
Your great mistake is to act the drama
as if you were alone.
To feel abandoned is to deny
the intimacy of your surroundings.
Surely, even you, at times, have felt the grand array;
the swelling presence, and the chorus,
crowding out your solo voice.
The doors have always been there
to frighten you and invite you
Put down the weight of your aloneness
and ease into the conversation.
The kettle is singing
even as it pours you a drink,
The cooking pots have left their arrogant aloofness
and seen the good in you at last.
All the birds and creatures of the world
are unutterably themselves.
Everything is waiting for you
