Thank you Town Crier
We would like to thank The Town Crier for continuing to be the paper of record for Los Altos, Los Altos Hills and Mountain View.
Your thorough and unbiased coverage of everything going on around here is a very important part of our understanding of local news and issues. It is the only way we find out about many things happening, or about to happen, in our community.
You also give a voice to anyone who cares to share their own views, which is an increasingly important part of the democratic process in this country.
Everyone should be reading your paper and pondering the news and reviews of council actions, schools, local housing and more. Support the Town Crier and its advertisers in 2026!

Take a vote on current issues
In my opinion there is no need for an additional downtown park and the longtime disruption associated with its construction. What about the cost of its maintenance? Los Altos can’t even keep up with its current parks and areas that require constant trimming and pruning.
There have been many letters to the Crier voicing negative opinions of this venture. Why doesn’t the Crier set up an online voting procedure or a ballot box at its office so that the community can express their feelings on this issue?
I suggest that the build of a new dog park and a new theater also be listed on the ballot separately. Why the City Council is pursuing these three projects without buy-in from a majority of property owners in Los Altos is beyond me. Hopefully, the results of a vote on these items will alert the council as to the desires of the community.
