Los Altos resident joins Marquette University board
The Marquette University Board of Trustees recently elected Los Altos resident Thomas H. Werner to serve on its board.
Werner, a 1986 graduate of Marquette’s College of Engineering, has served as SunPower Corp.’s CEO and a member of its board of directors since June 2003.
Prior to joining SunPower, Werner was CEO of Silicon Light Machines Inc. and vice president and general manager of the Business Connectivity Group of 3Com Corp.
Werner currently serves as a board member of Cree Inc. and Silver Spring Networks.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Marquette, a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and a master’s degree in business administration from George Washington University.
