Anton “Tony” Smith of Los Altos, California, passed away on February 15,2026 at the age of 86, surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Warren “Bud” Smith and Marie “Mimi” Anton on September 21, 1939 in San Diego, California, but moved to Los Altos in 1946 when his father built a home there. He was part of the first graduating class of Los Altos High School in 1958.
After a tour in the Air Force, Tony worked as a design drafter, and his hobbies included off-road motorcycles, building cars, golfing, and fitness.
He is survived by his wife Maureen Smith, his son Jeffrey Smith and husband Alan Boykin, his son Mitchell Smith and wife Casey Smith, and granddaughters Alexanna Smith and Dillann Smith, while being predeceased by his sister Penelope McCulloch in 2025.
