WATSONVILLE — Dolores Gonzalez Mosqueda died on Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017, at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula. She was 63.

Born in Watsonville to Alejandro and Mary Connie Gonzalez, she was a lifelong resident here. She enjoyed driving her bus for Santa Cruz County Head Start for 28 years. Her joys were serving her community through Little League and volunteer work. Another great passion of hers was cheering on her grandchildren in school or at sporting events. It was hard not to be influenced by her loving heart and contagious smile. She will always be remembered for her outgoing personality, her love of life, and her sense of humor.

She is survived by her spouse, Jose; her three children, Gavino, Elodia and Vicente; eight grandchildren; her mother; six siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Aug. 23 from 5-9 p.m. at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Aug. 24, at Valley Catholic Church with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
