Cabrillo College freshman defensive back Shaq Floyd and sophomore linebacker Travis Schuhe were named to the All-California Community College Football Region II First Team.
Floyd and Schuhe were bright spots for a Cabrillo squad that otherwise struggled en route to a 2-8 overall record in a rebuilding year under new head coach Darren Arbet.
Floyd (6-foot-3, 190 pounds) paced the Seahawks in interceptions (7) and finished third in tackles (54).
Schuhe (6-foot-2, 225 pounds), meanwhile, racked up 133 tackles, 6 1/2 sacks and 17 tackles for loss, while also forcing a fumble and recovering a loose ball. His total tackles, solo stops (81) and tackles per game (13.3) all ranked second in the state.
