Santa Cruz Warriors standouts Quinn Cook and Damian Jones were named to the Midseason All-G League Western Conference team, the league announced on Friday morning.

Cook, a high-scoring guard on a two-way contract with Golden State, and Jones, a member of the Golden State roster that has starred while on assignment in the coastal city, were two of 12 players who were selected as the best in the west by the league’s coaches, general managers and players.

The midseason award comes in lieu of a spot in the G League All-Star game, which was replaced by a scrimmage against the Mexican national team, taking place during NBA All-Star weekend.

Former Warriors forward Georges Niang, who signed a two-way deal with the Utah Jazz a few weeks ago, also made the roster, which included Anthony Brown (Iowa), Thomas Bryant (South Bay), Alex Caruso (South Bay), Daniel Hamilton (Oklahoma City), Darrun Hilliard (Austin), Amile Jefferson (Iowa), Johnathan Motley (Texas), Tyrone Wallace (Agua Caliente) and Jameel Warney (Texas).

Santa Cruz is the only G League franchise to have three players from its 2017-18 roster honored for their performance through the first half of the season.

Cook has started in 24 games for Santa Cruz this season and recorded a team-high 24.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 8.2 assists in 35.9 minutes.

In 10 games with the NBA champion Warriors, Cook is averaging 3.2 points, 1.6 assists and 1.1 rebounds on 44.8 percent shooting in 10.3 minutes.

The third-year guard was a G League All-Star selection in his first two seasons, and earned All-Star Game MVP honors in 2017.

Jones has started all 33 games for Santa Cruz this season, averaging 15.3 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.09 blocks on a league-leading 67.6 percent shooting from the field.

Jones has appeared in one game for the Golden State Warriors this season, collecting one rebound in two minutes of action on Dec. 20 against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Niang played 26 games with Santa Cruz Warriors this season before earning his deal in Utah on Jan. 14. Originally signed by Golden State as a training camp invite, Niang averaged 18.4 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists in 33.1 minutes with Santa Cruz.
