Maria De La “Luz” Marin Zuniga died peacefully surrounded by her family in Salinas on Thursday, March 30, 2017. She was 59.
She was born on March 24, 1958 in Acambaro Guanajuaro, Mexico.
She enjoyed dancing, gardening and flowers. Ultimately, she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Aurelio Garcia Juarez; and her children, Norma (Jose) Corchado, Maria del Refugio (Serfin) Maciel, Patricia (Ismael) Corcado, Adriana (Martin) Zamora, Eduardo, Jose (Martha) Garcia, Guadalupe, Fernando and Mauricio (Anna) Garcia; parents, Maria del Refugio Zuniga and Juan Marin; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation services will be held on Wednesday, April 5 from 5-9 p.m. with a recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 6 at 10 a.m. at Our Refuge Church with burial to follow at Castroville Cemetery.
