Angelberto Robledo died unexpectedly on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Dominican Hospital. He was 94.
He was born in Ajijic, Jalisco Mexico on Nov. 25, 1923 to Jose Robledo and Refugio Lorenzana who raised him in San Pedro Tesistan. He had been a resident of Watsonville for approximately 40 years.
Mr. Robledo worked his entire life because he loved to stay busy. He acquired non-working watches and clocks to repair them and he also enjoyed carving out monkeys from peach pits. He enjoyed gardening, reading the Bible and spending time with his grandchildren. His favorite food was pozole and yucca.
Mr. Robledo is survived by his children, Raul (Eusebia) Robledo, Juan (Maria de Jesus) Robledo, Jose (Gabriela) Robledo, Angel (Anna) Robledo, Ana Rosa Ramirez, Teresa (Angel) Yanez, and Magdalena (Tiberio) Hernandez; 22 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 75 years, Teresa Robledo.
Visitation will take place at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel on Sunday, March 11 from 5-9 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on March 12 at Our Lady of Assumption Church at 11 a.m. This will be followed by the burial at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park.
