Aptos High junior Nick Bjorn was named the Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League’s Most Valuable Player for his superb play on the golf course during the 2026 spring season.

Bjorn was runner-up in the SCCAL individual championship at Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz on April 28. He earned medalist honors in seven of the 10 league matches played this season, helping lead Aptos to an SCCAL regular season team championship.

Aptos coach Paul Zech was named the SCCAL’s Coach of the Year, while freshman Brayden Wilson earned all-league first team honors.
