Leonardo Solorzano died on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 in Watsonville. He was 83.

Mr. Solorzano was born on Jan. 9, 1935 in Mexico to Proto and Aldegunda Solorzano. He was a family-oriented man. He enjoyed reading and scratching lottery tickets whenever he had the chance. He was a sports enthusiast that loved watching soccer and baseball; he was an avid Dodgers fan. Mr. Solorzano was a resident of Watsonville.

He was survived by his wife, Micaela Solorzano; his children, Jesus, Gilberto, Leonardo, Isela, Miguel and Leobardo; and 16 grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 6 from 5-9 p.m. at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel in Watsonville with a recitation of the Rosary at 6 p.m. A Mass will be celebrated on Monday, May 7 at Valley Catholic Church in Watsonville at 10 a.m. with the burial directly following at Valley Public Cemetery in Watsonville.
