Salvador Martin died peacefully on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018, at his home in Watsonville surrounded by his family. He was 64.

He was born on Feb. 28, 1954, in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, to Fidel and Maria L. Martin.

Mr. Martin came to Watsonville as a young boy, graduated from Aptos High School and then obtained his pilot’s license. His passion was flying, playing guitar and his family.

Mr. Martin is survived by his mother; brother; four children; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Fidel Martin.

Visitation was Sept. 12 with the rosary at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Thursday at Church of the Assumption. Burial followed at Valley Public Cemetery.
