WATSONVILLE — Watsonville Police on Saturday arrested a suspect for allegedly stabbing a man behind a Watsonville shopping center Friday night.
Rene Lozano, 47, was charged with attempted murder. He was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail in lieu of $375,000 bail.
Watsonville Police responded to a report of a stabbing behind a shopping center on the 1200 block of Main Street at about 9:30 p.m. There, they found a 60-year-old man who had been stabbed in the abdomen.
The victim was taken to an out-of-area trauma center in stable condition.
Detectives located Lozano with the help of the Santa Cruz County Anti-Crime Team.
