Abel Antuna died peacefully surrounded by his family at his home on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019. He was 62.

Mr. Antuna was born to Eusebio Reyes Antuna and Teresa Guerrero Antuna in Weslaco, Texas on Jan. 19, 1957. He attended local schools, liked to take nature walks with his younger siblings, and ride his Harley. Before retiring he was a self-employed contractor for 18 years. He was also a 2nd degree black belt karate teacher with his own studio which he enjoyed as well as being a longtime member (35 years) of the Green Valley Fitness Spa. He loved to do wood work projects around the house and be with his family.

Mr. Antuna is survived by his wife, Stella Solano Antuna; step-daughter, Christina Elyse Martinez; six brothers, Aniceto (Lucy), Albert (Nellie), Tony (Lucy), Eusebio Jr. (Maria), Adam (Marina), and Armando Antuna; three sisters, Manuela (Pete) Zavala, Anita (Albert) Segura, and Adalia (Joe) Pereira; and one step-grandchild. 

Visitation was held at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel on Feb. 27 with a Funeral Service. Burial took place at Valley Public Cemetery.
