Teen Anime Club meets at library

WATSONVILLE — The Teen Anime Club at the Watsonville Public Library now meets on the first Tuesday of the month.

Club meetings include anime viewings, manga book sales, drinks and snacks, raffle prizes and more.

The next meeting of the club will take place Oct. 3 from 4-5:30 p.m. in the Main Library Meeting Room, second floor, 275 Main St., suite 100.

Girl Scouts holding informational event

WATSONVILLE — Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast is holding an informational event on Oct. 4 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Marinovich Community Center, 120 Second St. in Watsonville.

This free family event is open to the public and girls and their families can discover all that Girl Scouts has to offer, from STEM education to the outdoors, life skills to entrepreneurship and more.

Girls will discover the program through activities, songs, stories and crafts. Parents will learn more about Girl Scout programs and volunteer opportunities.
