CORRALITOS — A 30-year-old Corralitos man died Sunday when he was struck by a car on Corralitos Road.
California Highway Patrol officer Trista Drake said a 27-year-old Corralitos woman was driving a 2016 Honda Fit southbound on the 400 block of Corralitos Road at 9:06 p.m. just north of Varni Road.
For unknown reasons the Honda veered off the right side of the roadway, Drake said, and smashed into the Corralitos man who was walking on the road shoulder.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, Drake said.
The CHP has otherwise released little information about the incident, which is still under investigation. They said that it is too early to determine if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
