Don Victor R. Sanchez died peacefully surrounded by his family at Watsonville Community Hospital on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019. He was 83.

Mr. Sanchez was born to Feliciano Sanchez and Secundina Rodriguez on April 13, 1935 in Nochistlan, Zacatecas. Before retiring he worked at Nature Ripe in the sanitation department for 20 years. He was a hardworking man who was very responsible with providing for his family. 

Mr. Sanchez was a positive and a happy person with a great sense of humor. He liked to joke around. But above all, he was a caring father and grandfather, who will be missed dearly. He enjoyed family events and gathering with good friends and food. He loved listening to music; his favorite singer was Antonio Aguilar. 

He is survived by his sons, daughters and numerous grandchildren; and three brothers, Guadalupe and Salvador Rodriguez, Feliciano Sanchez. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ricardo Sanchez.

Visitation will be held at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel on Sunday, Jan. 27 from 5-9 p.m. with the rosary prayed at 7 p.m. Mass will be celebrated on Monday, Jan. 28 at 10 a.m. at St Patrick’s Church with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
