El Pájaro Community Development Corporation (El Pájaro CDC) has entered into a partnership with Staff of Life, a natural foods market that recently opened its new store in the East Lake Shopping Center.
El Pájaro CDC, which aims to support small business entrepreneurs by providing no-cost resources, training and business loans, will work with Staff of Life to promote and sell their clients’ goods at the store. The goal is to help alleviate networking and marketing challenges that new entrepreneurs face in the industry.
Products that shoppers can now find at Staff of Life: Hakouya Probiotics; locally-grown nopales from El Nopalito Produce; award-winning mole from My Mom’s Mole (currently only available at the Santa Cruz location); fresh salsas and sauces from Teresa’s Gourmet Foods; quinoa from Agripacific Trading Co.; Sun Valley Farms berries and produce; and array of frozen waffles from The Green Waffle.
