WATSONVILLE — Elma Velasco Rempillo died at home surrounded by her family. She was 84.  

She was a native of Watsonville born on Oct. 20, 1932 to Jose and Paz Velasco. She earned her BS degree in Accounting and graduated with honors. Mrs. Rempillo worked for Santa Cruz County and retired.

She is survived by her children, Jose, Vilma and Vicente; and her siblings, Nancy Domingo, Bennie Velasco and Angel Velasco. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vicente Rempillo; daughter, Veronica; and siblings, Cely Quintos and Jose Velasco.

Visitation was held on Thursday, July 27 at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel, 609 Main St., Watsonville. The Funeral Mass was at Our Lady of Help Church, 2401 East Lake Ave. in Watsonville.
