SANTA CRUZ — Filimon Hernandez Olivares died on Saturday, June 10, 2017 surrounded by his family at Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz. He was 69.
Mr. Hernandez was an avid soccer fan. He enjoyed reading, music and kept up to date on current political events. He was a proud parishioner and volunteer of the Star of the Sea Church in Santa Cruz.
He was a devout family man who often traveled to Mexico to visit extended family members.
There will be a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 15 at the Star of the Sea Church located at 515 Frederick St., Santa Cruz. Following will be a closing ceremony at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park located at 127 Hecker Pass Road in Watsonville.
