WATSONVILLE—The public is invited to a flood recovery information session in Watsonville today to learn and ask questions about flood recovery and insurance issues.

The meeting will be held at the Pajaro Village Community Room, 739 Bronte Ave., from 4-5pm.

Chief executive officer of Community Bridges Ray Cancino, Santa Cruz County Supervisor Felipe Hernandez, insurance experts and others will be on hand to answer questions.

Cancino said that a group of volunteers will be canvasing the areas of Pajaro and Bay Villages between 9am and 3pm today to inform residents of the meeting.

  1. about damn time !!!!!!!! we have a clubhouse that serves more as a mausoleum than a clubhouse. the HOA board members feel that it would be better to just let it gather dust.
I encourage all the Pajaro village members to show up at 4 pm today.

  2. Great news and good for the community. With more storms on the way, this may also lead to some preventative work after assessing the input from those that have been impacted.

By the way, the story is about helping residents and not about the use of the clubhouse or the HOA. Some moron, once again has a weird self-centered take on the article. There will be ‘experts’ to answer questions.

As we know Trujillo is no expert on anything, including composing a proper sentence. I am sure he will make comments and then claim credit for whatever result comes from this meeting.

    • Well that all of his friends in the COW. I know that he loves Felipe Hernandez. All the Felipe bashing Steve did during the election now he has to kiss his butt for flood help
      Politics makes strange bed fellows.
Steve the city and county ignored your safety for years and if the Army Corps every gets to your levee project will be a miracle
