WATSONVILLE—The West Coast Ravens Fly Formation Team shot through the sky over Watsonville Saturday.

The flyover show was meant to celebrate the Fourth of July, as the city’s recurring Fire in the Sky event was canceled due to Covid-19. It was organized by the City of Watsonville, Pajaro Valley Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture and Watsonville Municipal Airport.

“[It is] our way of saying ‘Happy Fourth of July’ to the citizens and the community of Watsonville,” said airport manager Rayvon Williams prior to the show.

PV Chamber also invited families across the city to participate in a virtual Fourth of July celebration, encouraging people to post festive photos and videos on its Facebook page throughout the day.
