WATSONVILLE — The ninth annual Watsonville High Alumni Golf Tournament is slated for June 16, an event that is designed to raise funds for the school’s athletic program.

This year’s event is dedicated to Donna Jean Busmire, former Wildcatz Athletic Booster, said Brad Hubbard, tournament chairperson.

“She worked tirelessly to support young athletes and to promote youth athletic activities,” Hubbard said.

New this year on the par three, seventh hole will be a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro that will be given away for a hole in one.

“The tournament committee is encouraged by the positive response from our alumni and local golfers and they anticipate a great day of golf and camaraderie among the many participants,” Hubbard said.

The event runs at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start at Spring Hills Golf Course, 31 Smith Road, which stems off of Casserly Road.
