Howard Cunha, a resident of Fallon, NV passed away peacefully on January 22, 2025 after a short battle with cancer. Howard was born and raised in Watsonville, Ca to John and Doris Cunha on July 29, 1947, where he enjoyed a wonderful life with his six siblings Doreen, Bob, Rick, Matt, Kelly and Mark and raised his two children John and Heather. One of his first jobs was driving a tractor on the ranch, he always spoke fondly of those times. At 27 years old he joined the Carpenters Union and was proud to complete 50 years of membership with his gold card.
In 2009 Howard retired and he and his wife Cissy moved to Fallon, NV where they made many new friends and memories and enjoyed his love of gardening, hunting and fishing and the granddaughters’ many 4H and FFA projects.
Howard is survived by his loving family wife, Cissy, son John (Lisa) Cunha, daughter Heather Cunha, stepdaughter Erin (Matt) Montalvo. his grandsons Tanner and Shane Cunha and granddaughters Hannah and Kaylee Montalvo, his loving dogs, cats, horses and chickens and many, many extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents John and Doris, brother Matt and sister Doreen.
