In loving memory of Leanne Reiko Abe-Alciati- Having lost her battle with various health issues on April 28, 2018, she leaves behind special memories for those who knew and loved her.

Leanne was born on August 7, 1950 in Rexburg, Idaho and moved with her family to California in 1954.  Even as a youngster, her goal was to become an R.N.  After graduating from Watsonville High School in 1968, she went on to St. Francis School of Nursing and transferred to Cabrillo College where she received her RN degree. She worked at Watsonville Community Hospital and at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital for over 35 years; her career was cut short because of health issues.  Her colleagues and patients will attest to her professionalism and dedication.  Nursing was her passion, but she was also the classic example of a “Renaissance Lady”; her interests went from sky diving to making Japanese Kimekomi dolls.  She excelled in Chinese brush painting, painting and making her original greeting cards, which were distributed at Spencer’s Stationary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ceasar & Ayako Abe of Watsonville and her sister, Tomiko T. Lee of Salinas.

Leanne is survived by her husband of over 41 years, Michael Alciati of Watsonville; her sisters Kristine Kitamura (Harvey) of Salinas, Pat Fernandez (Rudy) of Groveland, and Yvonne Hall (Ed) of Upland; her brother-in-law Steven Alciati (Kathy) of Watsonville; 5 nephews (Bill, Ernie, Greg, Matthew & Jonathan); 2 great-nieces (Kira & Danielle); and 3 great-nephews (Garrett, Kobe & Kai).

A “Celebration of Life” will be held at Lincoln Avenue Presbyterian Church (536 Lincoln Ave., Salinas, CA) at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday June 30th.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to:
