Aptos High senior Amanda Fort finished tied for 59th at Tuesday’s Central Coast Section golf championships at the Laguna Seca Golf Ranch in Monterey.

Fort, the back-to-back Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League champion, fired a 92.
Par was 71.

Along with winning this year’s individual league title, Fort also helped the Mariners win their fourth straight SCCAL team title with an undefeated 8-0 record.

• Four locals make first team – North Monterey County High’s Michael Galli and Katelyn James, Monte Vista Christian’s Estelle Petrocelli and Watsonville High’s Zaira Pena were all named to the Monterey Bay League Pacific division’s First Team, the league announced on Wednesday.

Petrocelli placed first in the Pacific division at last week’s league finals, which were suspended because of triple-digit heat on Tuesday and finished up the following day.

North Monterey County High’s Lindsey Hashimoto earned a spot in the Pacific division Second Team.

MENS JC SOCCER

• De Anza 3, Cabrillo 2 – The Cabrillo College Seahawks gave up two goals over the final five minutes in Tuesday’s heartbreaking Coast Conference South division loss to De Anza College.

Steve Lopez and Ricardo Olvera scored in the first half to put the Seahawks (8-5-3, 4-3-2) up 2-1 at the half but Sahr Mattia found the back of the net twice down the stretch to lift De Anza to the victory.

Cabrillo keeper Edi Magdaleno had five saves and Walmer Martinez made an assist.

The Seahawks host Chabot College on Friday at 2 p.m.

GIRLS TENNIS

• St. Francis, Aptos players advance to finals – The Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League tennis championships will be an all Aptos High and St. Francis High affair.

Aptos’ Mia Totah and St. Francis’ Gabi Gutierrez will meet in the singles championship, while the Mariners’ doubles team of Lila and Rebecca Sampson will play the Sharks’ duo of Katherine Casper and Maya Talavera.

Both matches are at 3 p.m. today at the Seascape Sports Club.

Totah is the defending singles champ and the Sampson sisters also won their respective SCCAL title last season.
