1924-2017

Lois Jean Clark was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on July 23, 1924. As a young girl she moved to Yuba City, California with her parents, where she met her grade school sweetheart and future husband, Gail Gordon. After high school she trained in nursing at Wesley Memorial Hospital in Chicago, graduating in the class of 1945. At the end of WWII, Gail came back from Europe to marry Lois. They moved back to Yuba City to establish their family. That’s really the beginning of a wonderful and adventuresome life. Everywhere in her adventuresome travels she established long-lasting friendships, sharing her positive enthusiasm and caring with everyone. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, support person and,  friend who is now sorely missed. She died peacefully in her sleep at home, surrounded by her family Friday, December 1, 2017 at 7:59 pm. She was the best mom ever.

A celebration of Lois’s life will be held at the Aromas Grange on January 6th at 2:00 pm.
