Emergency officials deal with a two-vehicle crash Wednesday on the 2500 block of Freedom Boulevard. The California Highway Patrol said the male driver of a Ford F550 flatbed pickup towing an 18-foot flatbed trailer was traveling north on Freedom Boulevard when he attempted a left turn into an agricultural field around 1:50pm. His pickup collided with the front end of a Ford Escape SUV with a female driver who was traveling south. The impact briefly trapped the female in her heavily damaged SUV. Firefighters from Cal Fire and Watsonville Fire safely extricated her. She was then taken to an out of county trauma center by American Medical Response. The incident is still under investigation. 1. I always see that guy in the lakeside truck. He drives like a dumbass. He had 10 cars behind him the other day on freedom Blvd and didn’t pull over.
