PAJARO — An elderly man was struck and killed after he was hit by several vehicles early Wednesday morning around 6:35 a.m.
The California Highway Patrol got a call of a pedestrian hit by several cars on Salinas Road near Railroad Avenue in Pajaro.
According to the CHP, the victim, who was possibly homeless, was struck in the northbound lane of Salinas Road as he was attempting to cross the heavily travelled road. He was reportedly hit several times by numerous vehicles.
The CHP has two witnesses but they couldn’t give a description of any of the vehicles that hit the man, the CHP said.
The man died at the scene, which is still under investigation.
