Monterey County Sheriff’s deputies and California Highway Patrol officers investigate a solo motorcycle crash on San Miguel Canyon Road near Lewis Road in Royal Oaks Sunday night. According to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, deputies pulled over a 32-year-old man riding a motorcycle on San Miguel Canyon Road at about 7:11 p.m. The suspect, who has not been named, reportedly fled from deputies and crashed into an embankment a short distance later. The suspect was a convicted felon and was found to be in possession of a concealed loaded firearm and narcotics for sales, according to deputies.
