METRO hosts Stuff the Bus donation site

SANTA CRUZ COUNTY—The Santa Cruz Metropolitan Transit District (METRO) and Toys For Tots will host METRO’s first Stuff the Bus donation site on Dec. 11 at Target in Watsonville.

METRO and Toys For Tots are teaming up to collect donations of new and unwrapped toys for local kids. Donations can be any new, unwrapped gender-neutral gift, including board games, soccer balls, bikes and crafts. This year’s focus is on children between 0-2 and 11–14.

“Giving back to the community has always been a priority for METRO and hosting events like these are one of the ways we support that commitment,” said METRO CEO/General Manager Alex Clifford.

Donations will be collected from 11am to 4pm. 

Toys will be distributed locally through neighborhood service agencies that screen applicants based on need.
