Trustees discuss student safety, employee retirement
The Pajaro Valley Unified School District Board of Trustees on Wednesday narrowly rejected a proposal for a pilot program to place ID scanners at Hall District and Valencia elementary schools, which would determine whether visitors can legally be on campus.

One person was killed Monday morning when the plane they were flying crashed on the runway at Marina Municipal Airport, Marina Fire Chief Doug McCoun said.
