Percy Thomas Wickings passed away on Friday, December 7, 2017 in his home at the age of 87 from natural causes. He was surrounded by friends and his loving wife.

He was preceded in death by his son, Russell in 2010; and first wife Joan in 2000. Percy is survived by his wife, Rose Wickings, and three daughters: Lisa of Royal Oaks, CA; Annette of Santa Cruz, CA; and Denise of Arlington, TX; 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Percy was born in Michigan but stationed by the United States Army in California, where he began his family. He worked for several years at Marty Franich Ford and was an avid bowler at Cabrillo Lanes. He dedicated his life towards his family, love of baseball and the sweet sound of Johnny Cash. Percy was known for his devoted heart towards his family and it showed through his dedication with his grandchildren. His passionate heart spread into his love for baseball from the local teams to the Arizona Diamondbacks. When Percy found time to be alone, he tended to be nestled away in his workshop building his next adventure. He had a knack for woodworking and exceptional Christmas decorations.

After retirement, his love for family celebrations never ceased by always having the brightest house on the block during the holiday season, winning ribbons for his work or surrounding himself with friends and loved ones each year. His family will be forever humbled by his goodwill and passionate heart.
