A Watsonville firefighter helps clean up the scene of a two-vehicle crash on East Lake Avenue at Blackburn Street Thursday night. Watsonville Police spokeswoman Michelle Pulido said Margarito Martinez-Garcia, 19, was traveling westbound in a Honda Accord at 7:20pm when he plowed into the rear of a parked Ford F-150 pickup. The impact flipped the Honda onto its roof. Pulido said there were no injuries reported. After a field sobriety test by Watsonville Police, Martinez-Garcia was arrested on suspicion of DUI. East Lake Avenue was closed down altogether for about an hour for cleanup.

  1. Margarito needs to lose his driving privilege for 10 years, as is law in the Scandinavian nations.
and he needs to learn: ALCOHOL IS NOT YOUR FRIEND ! and it never was.

  3. the first amendment rules, Bench. you have the right to express your opinion, and so do I. what you advocate is “normal” for N. Korea, Russia, China, Syria and many places you might not want to live. GROW UP and learn your US Constitution.
all our opinions matter. and if my opinion did not matter, why respond with such petulance and envy ? and ask my colleagues on the board if my opinion about the name change does not matter. you are misinformed or uniformed.

    • … petulance and envy? OMG ST, you are hilarious. Who cares about your opinion on the Cabrillo name change?

May Bench is correct, your opinion does not matter and never has. You are a clown and an embarrassment to the Board of Trustees. The article was about an auto accident, not about the name change. Its bizarre how you try to make everything about yourself. You will be a one term trustee. Good riddance soon.

  4. my face, I don’i mind it , because i am behind it. that is what Woodrow Wilson, president of the USA , said. i agree.
let us add two more examples of where my opinion mattered: 1. the elimination of cancer causing ROUNDUP in all city parks and medians. 3 city council members said it was my campaign to be rid of the noxious chemical that the city voted to stop using it.
    2. my proposal to move the bust of GW to the city library, to save it. both the city planning commission and then the city council agreed with my proposal. i spoke to both groups to propose it. they listened and agreed. so did the Cesar Chavez Democratic club.
so your assertion is completely false. it does not matter what i look like. but you are GREEN with envy . thanks, but i like my brown skin , hair and eyes. and people who are like you are shallow you have not got enough character to recognize the fact that beauty is only skin deep. and your UGLINESS goes right through to the bone.

and , for the record, your transphobia is apparent. for the record, i am a biological male, and have been all my life. so that assertion is based on pure ignorance, which seems to fill you up in every comment you make. how sad for you.
