A California Highway Patrol officer surveys the damage where a Chevrolet 1500 pickup slammed into a Buick LaCrosse on San Andreas Road Thursday. CHP officer Fred Smith said the male driver of the pickup, that was traveling south of San Andreas Road, appeared to have crossed over the double-yellow line and plowed into the Buick sedan with a man and a woman aboard at 3:40pm. After the pickup barreled into a field and rolled over, the driver fled the scene, Smith said. The pair in the Buick was not hurt. The incident is still under investigation.
