Watsonville Police shut down Center Street near Lincoln Street Friday afternoon after they reportedly found what appeeared to be a hand grenade in a residence. Sgt. Mike Ridgway said experts were called in to solve the issue. Center Street was shut down for several hours and some residents were evacuated for safety reasons.
