ABOVE: Silvia Ignacio is joined by Regina Acosta, 6, and Mateo Acosta, 8, on Carey Street Wednesday during the City of Watsonville Santa Tour. Riding abroad a 1967 Crown fire truck driven by former Watsonville Fire Capt. Matt Ryan, Santa and several leaves and helpers made nine stops on day one of the event. The tour continued Thursday and will be held today between 4 and 7pm. For information about tour stops go here.

Tarmo Hannula has been the lead photographer with The Pajaronian newspaper in Watsonville since 1997. More recently Good Times & Press Banner. He also reports on a wide range of topics, including police, fire, environment, schools, the arts and events. A fifth generation Californian, Tarmo was born in the Mother Lode of the Sierra (Columbia) and has lived in Santa Cruz County since the late 1970s.
