Roman Conrado Quiñonez died unexpectedly in Watsonville on Sunday, June 24, 2018. He was 18.
Mr. Quiñonez was born to Tania Hill and Oscar Quiñonez in Bakersfield on Dec. 14, 1999 and at the age of 5, he attended local schools. He would have started his senior year in the fall at Sequoia High School. He was employed at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk as a ride operator for many months. He was a friendly and happy person, always smiling and very well-liked by his teachers. He liked to help out working on projects in the community and also taking selfies with his many friends and family.
Mr. Quiñonez is survived by his father, Oscar Quiñonez; and mother, Tania Hill.
Visitation will be held at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel on Sunday, July 8 from 5-9 p.m. with the rosary recited at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Valley Catholic Church on Monday, July 9 at 1 p.m. with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
