Deputies responded to reports of a man with a gun on the 1700 block of Laurel Road and Highway 17 around 8pm on June 14. There, they found 27-year-old Kevin Medina-Lopez, who was pronounced dead at the scene from a gunshot wound.

Detectives also found there were two additional victims Amaral attempted to shoot, Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Ashley Keehn said.
