Sanny Garnace Batin died peacefully on July 15. He was 55.
He was born on Aug. 30, 1963 in Salvador, Candon City, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. On Oct. 3, 1981 he immigrated to the U.S., where he lived the majority of his life in Watsonville. On March 8, 1990, he married his wife, Zenaida Moises Batin, and began his life with his family.
He worked for JJ Crott City Processed Foods Corp and Fmali Herb Inc. He loved going fishing and bowling, as well as playing basketball and poker and cooking delicious food for his family.
He is survived by his wife; his three children, Kimberly Michelle Batin, Kenneth Michael Batin and Kathleen May Batin; siblings Antonette Batin-Ebert and Jocelyn Garnace Batin; and his mother Lydia Garnace Batin.
A visitation will be held at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel Saturday and July 28 from 4-9 p.m., with a Rosary at 7 p.m. on both days. Mass will be held July 29 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church. Burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
