CCS Sports: Section officially moves weekend’s action south

Because of poor air quality in the Bay Area stemming from the ongoing Camp Fire just east of Chico, all of Friday’s football games will take place on Saturday at five sites in the southern portion of the CCS. The CCS Cross Country Championships, too, were pushed back a day and moved to a different location. The section’s top runners will meet at Toro Park in Salinas on Sunday at 10 a.m.

CCS Sports: Section makes contingency plans for weekend’s events

Aptos and Terra Nova are set to play in Pacifica at 7 p.m. on Friday, but their CCS Open Division III matchup could be moved to Watsonville at 7 p.m. if the air quality in the coastal city just south of San Francisco does not improve.
