Local Roundup, 4/22: Aptos hands PCS 1st league loss in 5
Kacey Losik had 19 kills, 19 assists, 16 digs and four blocks for Aptos. Jayson Guy added 16 kills, seven blocks and three aces. Christian Segura chimed in with 16 digs and Michael Spinelli finished with 25 assists.

The Seahawks knocked off the defending California Community College Athletic Association champion MiraCosta College, 3-0, on May 10 at West Valley College to become the first team from Northern California to win the state beach volleyball championship.

Away on a college recruiting trip during his team’s league loss on March 16, Clarke was back in a big way. He cruised to victories in the 500-yard freestyle and 200 individual medley, while also swimming a leg on a pair of scoring relay teams for the Mariners.
Girls' CCS Basketball: Aptos not itself in loss to top-seeded South S.F.

Aptos High exploded for six goals in the first quarter, including four in the first four minutes, and the Mariners’ stingy defense clamped down on Carmel High’s usually potent offense to take control of the league with a 15-3 blowout win on Wednesday night at Trevin Dilfer Field in Aptos.

Kelly Taylor scored five goals, including the game-winner with 1:48 left to play, to lift the Aptos High Mariners girl's water polo team to a 10-9 win over the Christopher High Cougars on Thursday in Monterey Bay League Gabilan division play on the road.
