The defending Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League champion in the 100-meter hurdles took the best the league had to offer and used it as motivation, running a personal best to repeat as a league champion at Saturday’s league finals in Aptos.
SCCAL Baseball: 4 Sharks, a Mariner earn first team honors
Catcher Derric Estrada-Haro, pitchers Chase Watkins and C.J. Gomez and outfielder Josiah Granados-Diaz all earned a spot on the All-SCCAL First Team after helping the Sharks to a second-place finish in the league and a runner-up finish in the Central Coast Section Division III playoffs.
