The Aptos High Mariners added yet another wrinkle to the SCCAL championship chase on Thursday night, handing the Mt. Madonna Hawks their second loss of league play via a 25-19, 25-22, 25-20 sweep.

Sophomore Mia Totah rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 win over St. Francis High junior Gabi Gutierrez to claim the singles title for the second consecutive year, while twin sisters Lila and Rebecca Sampson, also sophomores, matched her output en route to a repeat title in the doubles, topping St. Francis’ duo of Katherine Casper and Maya Talavera, 6-0, 6-0.

Two-way guard Quinn Cook returned from a long absence to pour in 41 points, and Golden State assignees Jordan Bell and Damian Jones combined for 32 points and 16 rebounds to lead Santa Cruz over the Memphis Hustle, 132-120, at Kaiser Permanente Arena.
