Three people were arrested Nov. 23 on a string of charges after Watsonville Police got a tip about a stolen pickup.

Watsonville Police spokeswoman Michelle Pulido said officers responded to a call about a stolen truck on the 400 block of East Beach Street, where the truck was spotted in a driveway.

Police deployed their drone unit to get an aerial view of the home, allowing officers to see multiple people there.

After securing a search warrant for the home, officials found several firearms, ammunition, methamphetamine and other contraband.

Three suspects—Debra Sanchez Curiel, Shane Gardella and Miguel—were arrested at the scene. They were booked into Santa Cruz County Jail on multiple charges, including robbery, criminal threats with the intent to terrorize, conspiracy, and possession of a stolen vehicle.

As of Thursday, only Curiel remained in custody in lieu of $50,000 bail, jail records showed.

Watsonville Police and the Santa Cruz County Auto Theft Reduction and Enforcement Task Force assisted with the arrest.
