By Marcus Northcutt

My name is Marcus Northcutt and I am in my first year as athletic director at Watsonville High School. I write today in support of the Ninth Annual Watsonville High Alumni Golf Tournament scheduled for Friday, June 16 at Spring Hills Golf Course.

Youth sports have always been very important to me as a student, teacher, coach and father. The many valuable lessons learned on the field or court have done much to shape the person I am today and have proved equally beneficial with my three children.

For the past eight years, this fundraising tournament has provided critical funds allowing Watsonville High to continue offering a quality athletic program for our boys and girls student athletes. This year we return to Spring Hills where the reception is always welcoming and their expertise in hosting tournaments is unsurpassable.

The tournament committee is truly appreciative of our golfers and sponsors and we, along with Managing Owner Amy Preaseau and Tournament Director Bobby Powers, have designed a day filled with golf, fun and friendship while helping raise important funds. It is a special event comprised of caring and generous alumni supporting the same sports programs they enjoyed years ago.

I encourage all Wildcatz supporters to mark Friday, June 16 on your calendar and plan on a day of great golf and camaraderie. For additional information, please contact Brad Hubbard at [email protected].

Thank you and we’ll see you on the course.
