SANTA CRUZ — A nurse from Tuscon, Ariz. who allegedly committed several sex acts with children was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail on Thursday, court records showed.

Emily Joy Stephens, 30, is being held in lieu of $500,000 bail. She is scheduled to appear in court Friday at 8:15 a.m.

Stephens, 29, was arrested in Yuma County, Ariz. on suspicion of sexually assaulting six young children in Santa Cruz County, court records show.

The case was launched when Watsonville resident Rashel Brandon’s ex-husband brought a video that reportedly shows the women sexually assaulting children.
