Timothy Phillip Rowan of Watsonville  lost his more than 10-year battle with four different cancers on Friday, Feb. 1, 2019. He was 67. 

Mr. Rowan and his twin Terry were born in Watsonville on Aug. 16, 1951 to Lester (Spec) and Freda Rowan. He lived a quiet life maintaining very close relationships with many friends from his childhood and high school years.

He loved to surf and play baseball as a young man and was a lifelong fan of all Bay Area sports teams. For many years, he and his friends traveled around the Bay Area to attend concerts of their favorite bands.

He loved animals, feeding feral cats for many years and was always the first to greet and give attention to the family pets at all get-togethers. He was an avid reader with a wide range of interests. He worked with his friend Mike at The Laundry Center for many years.

Mr. Rowan was preceded in death by his siblings, Kathleen and Terry; and his parents, Lester and Freda. He is survived by his sister, Shirley (Bob) Goldman; his brother, Dan (Suzan) Rowan; 11 nieces and nephews, and 19 great-nieces and nephews.

Private services will take place at the Rowan Family Vault. Contributions can be made to your favorite charity.
