SANTA CRUZ COUNTY — Seasonal weather is on tap for the weekend, with patchy clouds starting off Saturday and Sunday, which will break up both days into the late morning to warm and sunny conditions.
Steve Anderson, meteorologist with the National Weather Service of Monterey, said weather this weekend for the greater Watsonville, Corralitos and Pajaro Valley area will have highs in the mid-70s inland with upper-60s along the coast.
“If you want to warm up and find the sunshine, you’ll really have to head over the hill to places like Gilroy where it will be sunny and warm and around 85 degrees,” Anderson said. “The real rain now is well behind us. Look forward to seasonal temperatures.”
Anderson said meteorologists have noted that ocean temperatures have gone up from 52 to 55 degrees, which is typical.
This weekend there is also a small craft advisory, due to typical seasonal gusty winds at sea.
“Any pleasure boaters in boats 20-feet or less could be in for a bouncy ride, so be careful,” Anderson said.
