WATSONVILLE — Venice J. Valdez died at Dominican Hospital on Sunday, April 9, 2017. He was 40.
Mr. Valdez was born in Watsonville to Prudencio and Leonora Valdez. He had a natural gift for music and was a “one man band” as he knew how to play many instruments including the piano, saxophone, guitar, and harmonica to name a few. He also produced his own music and enjoyed photography. Mr. Valdez was a kind, giving and well-loved person who had an amazing sense of humor. There was never a dull moment when he was around. He attended Grace Temple in Watsonville.
Mr. Valdez is survived by his mother, Leonora Valdez; sister, Marilyn Gonzalez; two nephews and a niece; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel on Thursday, April 20 from 5-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at Green Valley Christian Center on Friday, April 21 with the burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
