WATSONVILLE—Watsonville Brillante, an ongoing mosaic mural project in downtown Watsonville, has officially reached its halfway point. Organizer and artist Kathleen Crocetti says that volunteers recently finished the six thousandth of 12,000 square feet of mosaic.

In celebration, Crocetti’s organization, Community Arts & Empowerment, will be hosting a free community party and photo shoot on June 7 from 3-5pm.

Guests are asked to arrive promptly at 3pm on Second Street in front of the newest mural on the Civic Plaza parking structure. Following the shoot, the party will move down the street to the alley between the garage and the post office for live music, food, gifts for volunteers, donors and contributing artists.
